An Awesome Hard Rock Cafe show on the 4th of June !
Thanks to all the friends and fans of the band and to all those who were at HRC on the 4th of June, we had an awesome gig…..lotsa new tracks we belted out for the first time and that too with 2 new sessions vocalists and friends, they sang like they have been singing with us forever….
Hopefully this time we will be able to uplaod some new tracks from this gig on youtube soon :-)

1 Confirmed Gig for June
With the arrival of two new vocalists come a new gig lined up,
June 4th Thursday at 8 pm - Hard Rock Cafe - Bengaluru
We have some awesome new covers and originals lined up for the gigs, so if you have heard us before do come and check out the gigs again, you wont be disappointed…

Update !!!
Well a lot happened last coupla months and the lazy me never got down to posting and keeping the site updated !
For sure the foremost thing is we had a blast of a GIG at the Hard Rock Cafe Bengaluru on 2nd April,despite Saurabhs bad throat, he always manages to pull off on the day of the GIG ! A complete 3 hr show with a small 10 min break in between and at the end of the deadline we still had 6 songs unsung !!!! what a pity that was……A show of about 30 + odd songs and the crowd singing to most tunes ….which also included our own classiscs No heros and Take me away !
A sure highlight was getting our friend Priyanka to sing a coupla tunes with us which went very very well with the crowds we must say….That was a cool performance Priyanka…keep it up !!
More shows hopefully lined up (one show a month) in the next three months ….Lotsa new covers on the horizon we are working on, trying to do at least a 30-40% new setlist for the next gigs so come and watch us play live…….will be a blast we are sure….covering some new bands we have never covered as well and will have some new Originals too…With the new tracks we will have a cool 50+ song setlist very soon :-)
We are excited at the gigs, but also sad as Saurabh has completely immersed himself in some Management books at ISB Hyderabd for a year and we are getting friends to sing for us who have readily and gladly agreed …..Phew its some task to find like minded people we must say !!! and we are lucky we found some :-)
More updates soon, Gig dates will be posted soon too, there is a cell phone version of Take me away which we played at hard rock on youtube to be checked out….We will try and upload some covers if possible soon….

Coming soon - “Hurt” In Homage to all those who died 26/11 so we can live !
The events of 26/11 have been so disgusting that its left such a sour taste in everyones mouth. So much anger , frustration, grief and negative energy (as if we had any little of all this earlier). Comments made by politicians, unfulfilled promises, our country’s security system lapses, etc. makes our stomach cringe. There was not too much we as Sonic Flare could do but see the drama unfold as the few hundred lost their lives. Including Sandeep Unnikrishnan, a childhood pal of Nisha (Ajit’s wife). So for the band as such considering how we adore each other as extended family this is more a time of loss than anything else. It wasn’t until the CM of Kerala (Mr Doggie, I prefer to call him) made such disgusting remarks on the wonderful soul’s grieving parents, that almost was the flashing point in us wanting to write the song , a song dedicated to all those who lost their lives so we can live, a song for the people who gave themselves so wholly to us that we need to honor , a song for the wonderful country who is now getting tired and angry, a song telling the politicians to wake the f**k up and use our taxes where they should be used…a song telling the terrorists to stay the f**k out of our lives. This is a song that comes out from our hearts. We sincerely hope you like it. The lyrics are penned down here for viewing.

“Take me Away” Unleashed !
Well we’ve been holed up in Neeraj’s apartment recording for the last couple of weeks per the old post on the blog and of course we had to give him a couple of weeks off as well to spend time with himself….So here goes our first recorded track called “Take me away”….Basically Penned by me and then beautifully edited by Sob and NK, It talks about the fact that Death does not exist and what happens when we do actually in our terminology “Die” and the fact that Death is Life continuing in another way… This song was inspired by a book called “Home with God… in a life that never ends” a masterpiece by Neale Donald Walsch… one of my Spirituality gurus… hope you guys like it, its probably the fastest track we have ever recorded and Sob has hit the highest notes hes ever hit so far…
The next track is almost done , a completely Overhauled version of our classic “Dumb” just waiting for the voice to Martin to finish the song… Honestly I’ve been listening to it everyday and it really sounds awesome… I cant personally wait to get this completely done…Should be up in a couple of weeks…
On the Gig front we have a few inquiries and will finalize soon and hit a few pubs hopefully across the city… details will be posted soon… so keep checking this section out…

Ok so the latest news is….
That we are taking a break for about a month…A few travels have come by for our Guitar gurus, Neeraj and Ajit and we shall be playing live again in the month of April…some college festival hopefully…
Good news though is that we are in the process of writing two new tracks…This is going to take a while though as each one of us have to lay down the tracks and the guitar gurus not being around, we cant do much…
So there is the latest update…but I must say the two new tracks are really sounding fantastic so far…..
